Intro

Online media creation has been an interest of mine since high school.
I started streaming and creating YouTube videos prior to the pandemic as a hobby. While I was labelled an "essential worker" during the lockdowns, it didn't take long to realize that I could be out of work at any time. I started exploring online media creation as a means of taking control of my finances through an alternative career that I can do anywhere at any time on any platform.
While I still work full-time, I'm hoping to one day transition to become a full-time streamer or YouTuber.

What kind of content do you make?

My livestream content is basically rambling mixed with depression memes and topped with objectively bad gameplay.My video content ranges from short form game content to investigational content and reviews. Basically, whatever interests me at that time.

Why is your content listed as "for mature audiences only"?I primarily stream M-rated games, which are not suitable for children. This content is often used in the background of my YouTube videos.
Can I play with you during a livestream?Due to certain incidents over the years, I only play with people that I know pretty well. Use !invite on Twitch for more information.
What's with the synthwave stuff?I just like the synthwave aesthetic. Whether it's Outrun, Synthwave, Vaporwave, or something else, I think it looks and sounds cool.
Can I request a song during a livestream?For copyright (DMCA) reasons, song requests are not permitted.
What music do you play?Usually something from StreamBeats or a copyright free song I bought on BandCamp. There is an on-screen widget during my livestreams which should display the currently-playing song and I generally add the songs I used in a video to the Credits section.
Will you play my music?I'll consider it if I think it fits my channel. Contact me at my business address with your request (intentionally not linked here) to provide written consent to use your music on my stream and provide the necessary licensing (namely a sync license) for me to use your music.
What are Aesthetics?Aesthetics are the loyalty coin used on Twitch and YouTube through StreamElements. Redeem them on the Channel Store to play content on-stream.
Why don't you have a webcam?My host computer is very underpowered, so I use a cloud PC to make my content. Due to limitations with the cloud PC, connecting a webcam requires that the raw video feed be uploaded to the cloud PC. A 1080p30 webcam would therefore use about 65Mb per second. The fastest available upload bandwidth in my area is 10Mbps.
What's with the tagline?My tagline, "nouveau-retro content creator" refers to my preference for media which incorporates a retrowave aesthetic, such as synthwave or vaporwave music, modern games which feature "retro graphics" or "PS1 aesthetic", etc. This preference is "hammed-up" when I create content.

  • Respect Krynd42, the moderation team, and those in the community.

  • Generally act like an adult. Nearly all of my content is marked as Mature, so if you're under 18 or an adult who is not of legal mental capacity, you shouldn't be watching it. If you are disruptive, you will be banned.

  • Jokes, memes, etc. are permitted. Trolling, griefing, etc. is not permitted.

  • No repeated or intrusive inquiries about someone's personal life, threats of doxxing, etc.

  • No self-promotion. Promoting my other content to other members is permitted ;)

Stream Rules

  • English only. While I'm familiar with multiple languages, I am only fluent in English. Since I'm responsible for moderating my chat, and we don't have universal translators, I need to be 100% certain that you aren't writing something offensive.

  • No requests for medical advice. I am not a licensed healthcare provider and am not qualified to provide medical advice. Visit the Halp Page or use !halp or !shelp during one of my livestreams for more information and links to some resources. While I wish to remain supportive, repeated requests for mental health help or statements concerning self-harm or similar activities will result in a ban. I'm not your therapist, I'm just a dude on the Internet.

  • No spamming the chat, typing in all-caps, etc. Exceptions are made for emotes and stream-appropriate meme spam ("F's in the chat", etc.) provided it is not excessive.

  • Links are enabled in the chat, but malicious or NSFW/NSFL links are not permitted

  • No demands. Examples include, but are not limited to: requests that I play a certain game, play a game with a particular style (no backseat gaming), requests for an invite to play a game together (use !invite during the stream for more rules on invites), requests for moderator status, etc.

Financial Rules

You must be 18+ and of legal capacity to make a purchase (give a tip, buy merch, or become a subscriber or patron). By making a purchase, you grant consent to the payment processor to handle your payment information and complete the transaction. Except as required by law, all purchases are final and are non-refundable. Fake purchases or scams will result in an instant permanent ban.
